Media Lab Asia has been set up by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, to innovate, develop and deploy ICT and other emerging technologies for the benefit of the common man. Media Lab Asia works closely with leading academic and research institutions, NGOs and industry for providing end-to-end solutions.

Media Lab Asia in collaboration with Digital Empowerment Foundation(DEF), New Delhi has taken up a project entitled “Chanderi Integrated ICT for Development Programme (CIIDP) in Madhya Pradesh” for connecting the existing primary level public health facilities in Chanderi with an institution/ Hospital of repute nearby Chanderi i.e. Jhansi etc. In initial phase web based Telemedicine software (e-Dhanwantri) will be deployed in Chanderi PHC to provide telemedicine facilities.

Media Lab Asia requires Research Associate (one vacancy) and Technical Assistant (one vacancy) for the project

Post  : Research Associate (RA)

Educational Qualification and Experience:

1. BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (Computer Science) or Equivalent degree from the recognised university.
2. Experience : Minimum 1 year

Responsibility: To undertake the Telemedicine software handling with web design related activities, Data collection, Data transfer, Report generation, Database creation, Networking, Internet related activities etc

Post  : Technical Assistant

Location : Chanderi
Educational Qualification and Experience:

1. 10+2(Any stream) with  Diploma in Lab Technician/ Medico Lab Technician  or equivalent  or
2. Graduate in any discipline with Biology as one subject in 12th  or
3. BSC(Biology) plus Diploma in Medico Lab Technician  or Equivalent qualification from the recognized university
4. Experience : Minimum 1 year

Skills Required : Experience in performing various tests for patients using medical equipments, taking patient photographs, data transfer, familiar with Internet , knowledge of handing medical equipment, knowledge of computer, MS Office.

Nature of manpower engagement : The manpower engaged shall be on time bound and contractual engagement of non-regular nature for specified duration not exceeding the duration of the project.  The co-terminus nature of the engagement will be the over riding principle.  The Research Associate/Technical Assistant may leave the assignment on their own volition, by giving one month’s notice.  At the end of the contracted period, the Research Associate/Technical Assistant will have no right to claim any employment or engagement in Media Lab Asia.

Age : The upper age limit for RAs will be as under ( on last date for receipt of application) :

40 years for men
45 years for women

Emoluments :  Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) per month (Fixed)

Duration : The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of two years  and co-terminus with the  duration of the project, whichever is earlier.
